I saw this quote on Instagram a while ago, and it keeps coming back to me. The quote is from a fitness trainer, so ostensibly it’s about not missing workouts and sticking to your food plan. Blah blah blah. But I don’t think that’s why the words keep popping into my head.

Every day matters when you have a goal. You can do something to improve every day. You can do something that makes you better at whatever you’re trying to be better at, every single day. You can make every day “count”.

But also, every day matters, and not just to check things off a list. Every day matters to the people you meet. Every day matters for your own (my own) sanity. Every day matters for the things that really matter.
